Cassandra Joy began as a ballet dancer, and has always enjoyed exploring the movement of the body. After studying theater, acting and playwriting, Cassandra found her way into a yoga studio on 37th Street in 2008 and she was home. With a passion for the restorative and therapeutic benefits of yoga, her classes work to find balance, more awareness and ease in the body. Outside of the yoga studio Cassandra is an avid Argentine Tango dancer and continues to work with dancers to discover healthy, sustainable movement.
Cassandra is a proud graduate of OFSY's 200-Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training with Amanda Wentworth and Holly Coles. Her other trainings include Aerial Yoga Teacher Training at Om Factory, 'Mother Mary' Aranas’s Restorative Training (Level 1), and Yoga Tune-up® Roll Method Training. She enjoys teaching the foundations of Vinyasa, Aerial Yoga, Aerial Dance and Restorative yoga. Part of the OM Factory community since 2008, she is grateful to be part of the teaching family and looks forward to sharing the same joy with her students.
